Our commitment to accessibility.
Therapy should be accessible to everyone. So should the platform that helps you find it.
Our promise
Truer Therapy is built to be usable by everyone — regardless of ability, device, or context. We believe mental health care access includes digital access. If our platform isn't usable for you, that's our problem to fix, not yours to work around.
What we've done so far
- Color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards across all pages
- All interactive elements are keyboard navigable
- Forms include proper labels and ARIA attributes for screen readers
- Video content includes captions or transcripts where possible
- Text can be resized up to 200% without layout breakage
- No essential information is conveyed by color alone
- Pages have logical heading structure for assistive navigation
What we're still working on
We're a small team and we're building this with care, not at scale. Here's what we're actively improving:
- Full screen reader testing across all user flows
- Audio descriptions for therapist intro videos
- Simplified navigation for cognitive accessibility
- Multi-language support beyond English
- Reduced motion options for users sensitive to animation
If something isn't working for you
We want to know. Email us at anchored@truer-therapy.com with what happened, what device you're using, and what would have made it easier. We read every message. A real person will respond — usually within 24 hours.
A note about third-party content
Some features on our platform — like therapist intro videos, external links, or embedded resources — may be hosted by third parties. We can't control their accessibility, but we'll always tell you when content leaves our platform and we'll work to provide alternatives when possible.
Accessibility isn't a checkbox for us. It's part of the mission. If healing should be available to everyone, then so should the door that leads to it.
