Our Shared Values

Truer Therapy exists to help people find the right person to talk to. That only works when everyone, clients and therapists alike, treats each other with care, honesty, and respect. These guidelines apply to all users of the platform.

For Clients

• Be honest in your questionnaire answers so we can match you well.
• Treat therapists with respect in all messages and sessions.
• Show up on time for consults and sessions, or cancel with reasonable notice.
• Do not record consultations or sessions without consent.
• Do not use the platform to harass, threaten, or deceive anyone.
• Understand that therapists are professionals providing a service, not personal contacts outside the platform.

For Therapists

• Maintain an active and unrestricted license in your jurisdiction.
• Provide accurate and current credential information.
• Respond to client messages and consult requests in a timely manner.
• Do not solicit clients outside the platform or attempt to bypass platform fees.
• Provide services only within your scope of practice and competence.
• Maintain professional boundaries with all clients.
• Do not share client information except as required by law or with client consent.

What We Do Not Allow

• Harassment, abuse, or threats of any kind.
• False or misleading credentials or information.
• Solicitation or advertising outside the platform.
• Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
• Sharing another person's private information without consent.
• Using the platform for any illegal activity.

How We Enforce These Guidelines

We may review profiles, messages, and reports from users. If someone violates these guidelines, we may take action including warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these guidelines from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you agree to the updated guidelines.
